Chanderi silk is a fabric that embodies softness, tradition and quiet elegance. It comes from the Indian city of Chanderi, where it has been produced by hand on wooden looms for centuries. Unlike regular silk, chanderi has its own specific structure: it is slightly translucent, breathable and softly matte, with a subtle pearlescent sheen. It is often woven in combination with cotton - that is why it is so pleasant on the body, it does not slip, does not catch, but flows naturally.
